How to fix a power window switch in a Dodge Durango

Education

Disconnect the negative battery cable terminal of the vehicle; loosen the lock nut with the wrench.

Disconnect power from the control arm inner door switch using a stick finish and disconnect the electrical connector at the rear. Go to step 8 if this is all you need to replace.

Remove the screws for furniture panel inside the door, if you need to reach the switch wires — Durango screws are usually behind the door handle, behind the pull handle near the mirror and at the lower edge.

Pull the panel up and out of its clip to remove it, and then remove the plastic cover with water.

Disconnect the electrical connector from motor wiring and power the door controller.

Connect the electrical connector for wiring back to the engine power window and power until the position of the order.

Tap water shield in place with its own adhesive and reconnect the lining of the panel with brackets and screws.

Connect the wiring to the window switch plate (old or new) and enter switching commands in position on the trim panel — usually above the handle and the side of the main handle.

Reconnect the battery cable.
