How to replace a cracked windshield

Pry the plastic molding off the windshield with a removal tool windshield molding.

Remove the urethane molded with a cutting knife designed for cutting molding urethane automotive. These can be found at any auto parts store.

Remove the old windshield.

Clean up residue remaining from the windshield urethane with a cleaning brush and water and cut the molding back to 3 mm with a razor blade.

Install new rubber profile around the outer edge of the windshield and mount the outer coating slots rubber profile.

Apply urethane primer for fried band on the windshield. The band is fried black stripe running along the edge of the windscreen. When the pores of this primer is applied on the fried active coating band, allowing it to adhere to the urethane.

Apply a coat of urethane to the pinch weld area under the vehicle.

Align the top, bottom and sides of the windshield in the box and press the windshield in place.
