Take a long piece of string and wrap the seal with rope inside. The seal has a slot on the inside where you can place the rope. About 3/8 inch nylon rope will work because it is not too thick. You can use tape on tape for the rest of the string to the inside of the glass so it does not hang up and not get caught in anything that is placed the glass in the frame. You can use the rope to ensure the seal is in place.

Placement Cup

With a friend, gently lift the glass and place it in the slot where the old windshield was. Come to a downward angle to ensure that the bottom of the cup is on the pinch welding (metal piece that runs along the inside of the windshield). Climb inside the vehicle and start pulling gently and slowly the rope as friend push down on the glass. Work together as a team so you can take your time and make sure the seal is on the pinch weld. If you pull too hard or fast, you can rip the seal.
