How to replace a rubber windshield

Windshield requires a rubber gasket around the edges to prevent dirt and water from seeping through. Over time, the rubber will age and may need to be replaced. In general, the windshield should be removed to reapply the rubber molding properly. Once the windshield is removed, it is a quick and simple task to replace the rubber.

Explanation

Place the rubber molding so that the groove edge of the cup faces. The molding should be facing out, meaning that the visible flat side should be facing the outside of the windshield.

Press the rubber on the edge of the windscreen. The edges must be fully pressed into the groove of the rubber gasket.

It will continue to do so until the entire edge of the windshield glass is covered by molding.

Reinsert the windshield on the vehicle.

Tips & Warnings

Replace the rubber gasket on a flat surface to prevent damage to the windshield glass.
